It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert James Nolen, Jr., cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on May 26, 2026. Robert was the beloved son of Linda and Robert Nolen Sr. born on May 29, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan. Robert was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others whenever he could. He had a passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. He was also a devoted sports fan who enjoyed watching a variety of sporting events. Robert faithfully cheered for the Detroit Red Wings and was a dedicated supporter of University of Texas football. Those who knew Robert will remember his gentle nature, generous spirit, and the compassion he showed to everyone he met. His warmth and kindness touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Professionally, Robert was a valued team member at Serenity House, where he was respected and admired by his co-workers and management alike. Robert's life was a testament to caring for others, loving wholeheartedly, and finding joy in the simple things. He was a kind and loving soul whose life ended far too soon, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his Uncle, Reverend Father Joseph C. Nolen, C.Ss.R., and Godparents, Wayne and Linda Sanford. Left to cherish his memories are his Parents Linda and Robert Nolen Sr; Sisters Kathy Sweet and Lisa Nolen; Nephew Patrick Devin Sweet, D.O., his wife Erin Moore Sweet RN, and great nephew Patrick Devin Sweet III (Trey); Niece Courtney Sweet and great niece Brylie Mae Sweet; Aunt Lori Workman; Cousins Jeffrey and Bethany Sanford, Heather and Ashley Workman, and many others in Ohio; His beloved cat, Buddy, a loyal companion who provided endless comfort and affection. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit will forever dwell in the hearts of those who knew him.
