Roberta Ralston of Abilene passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center . Funeral Services will be held Saturday November 13 at 11am at Macedonia Baptist Church 608 N. 7th St. Abilene TX. Visitation will be held Friday November 12, from 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home. Roberta was born April 12, 1933 in Longview TX to Ethel Odell Hughes and Tommy Lee Watkins. She married the love of her life James Ralston Sr. in Longview before moving to Waxahachie TX. To this union 6 children were born while living in Waxahachie Texas. The family moved to Abilene in 1970 and would reside there for the remaining of her life. Roberta was a housekeeper for many years in Abilene, she loved watching and playing sports when able to. Her favorite sport to watch was football, Roberta was a big Dallas Cowboy fan. She also enjoyed watching basketball specifically the San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets, She supported and cheered for just about any Texas Team. Roberta loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Roberta was preceded in death by parents Tommy Lee and Ethel Watkins, daughter Edna Cooper, sisters; Mary Thomas, G.V. Applebee, Perline Watkins, Gracie Watkins, Rachel Watkins, and brother Darly Watkins. Left to cherish her memories are: daughters; Betty Evans of Abilene, Annette Watkins of Van Nuys CA,. sons: James Ralston of Abilene, Mark Ralston (Rene) of Abilene, James W. Ralston (Elouise) of Abilene, brother, Grady Watkins (Pat ) of Emhouse, TX. 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
