Keith Davis, age 66 of Abilene, Texas passed away of Saturday, January 14th, 2023. Prayer and Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St. in Abilene. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Thursday at North's with Pastor Jamie McCravey of Old Path's Baptist Church officiating. Graveside services will be at 2pm on Thursday at Rochester Cemetery, Rochester, Texas. Pallbearers will be Fred Rainwater, John Corona, Rob Robertson, Clancy Denis, Noah Ramsey, Brady Ramsey and Brandon Lavy. Keith was born in Seymour, Texas to Marjorie Lou Jones and Kenneth Kelly Davis on March 2nd, 1956. He attended Seymour High School. Keith later entered the US Army and was a member of the 101st Airborne Division, he said he loved "jumping out of airplanes". Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge, Keith found he had a head for business and enjoyed being around people. He began selling cars and was in the Auto Business for over 42 years. He did everything from detailing cars to selling cars and eventually became a Sales Manager and Finance Manager at various locations throughout the State of Texas. Locally, he worked many years at Star Dodge and at the Honda, Toyota, Kia and Nissan dealerships. Keith was on the Rodeo Circuit and was a Heeler in Team Roping and once met Randy Travis at an event. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie Jones Townsend and Kenneth Kelly Davis; grandparents, Percy and Emmie Biggerstaff Jones; older brother, Ricky Busby and his youngest sister Karen Kay Davis. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kelly Davis of Abilene; children, Brandon Keith Davis of Midland, Texas and Jessica Garcia of Council Bluffs, Iowa; siblings, Rodney Davis of Wichita Falls, Texas, Mark Davis of Seymour, Texas, Dara Davis of Abilene, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Scarlett. the family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Hendrick Hospice Team who made his final day peaceful and pain free.
