Ronald Ray Riggins, lovingly known as Rome, was the kind of man you never forgot. His laughter was loud, his presence was bold, and his spirit could light up any room he entered. He was funny, courageous, charismatic, charming, and unapologetically himself. Born on June 10, 1964, in Abilene, Texas, Ronald lived life in full color. He carried a bold Gemini spirit that made him unforgettable-outspoken, vibrant, and full of life. He was everyone's favorite, known for his strong personality, humor, and the unforgettable energy he brought wherever he went. Ronald attended Abilene public schools and built deep roots in the community where he was well known and deeply loved. His presence and personality followed him throughout life, and he remained loved by many in both Abilene and Austin. He had a gift for making people laugh, telling the truth whether people were ready for it or not, and bringing life wherever he went. Whether through his humor, his stories, his honesty, or simply his presence, he made people feel something-and that is rare. Even through life's ups and downs, Ronald remained deeply loved by so many. His heart was big, his love was real, and his impact on family and friends will never be forgotten. Rome was loud, funny, courageous, unforgettable, and one of a kind. He was family, personality, protection, and joy wrapped into one person. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Alma Eleby; his father, Willie Flanigan; his brothers, Rickie Williams and Oscar Riggins; his grandparents, Robbie Williams and Clemmie Williams; along with several beloved cousins and family members. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sisters, Sandra Kay Williams, Joyce Tate, Angela McBride Green, (Debra Pen Anderson), and (Pamela Chambers); his beloved aunts, Jacqueline Grant and Clara Williams; a host of 14 nieces and nephews; many adopted nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; along with countless cousins, family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
