Rose L. Cummins 92 of Anson passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. Funeral Services will be held Friday March 10, 2023 at 1pm at North's Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson TX. Visitation will be held Thursday March 9, 2023 from 5-7pm at North's Funeral Home. Rose was born January 21, 1931 in Childress Texas to Jesse James Samuels and Willie F. Tubbs-Samuels. She accepted christ at an early age and was a devout Christian. Rose loved to be outside in the garden tending to her flowers. She enjoyed fishing and absolutely loved seeing new places and traveling. She also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Odell Samuels, sister Luetta Spraglin, Aunt Gladys Lowe, Sons; Freddy Douglas, Eddie Douglas, Ray Samuels, Hobert Reed Jr. Daughters: Ruby Douglas, and Loretta Douglas. Left to cherish her memories are: husband; Curtis Cummins daughters; Lavern Bell of California, Frankie Douglas of Dallas, TX Mary Pope of Abilene, TX Ruby Reed of Richard CA, Sandra Barnes of Stamford, TX. Sons; Willie Douglas of Midland, TX Raymond Reed of El Paso, TX Bobby Fletcher of Abilene, TX, Leon Fletcher of Abilene, Joe Fletcher of College Station, Sisters; Annie Hester of Midland, TX, Weltha Brown of Abilene, TX, Brother; Rev. Jessie Glenn Samuels of Midland, TX, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
