Rose Marie Sinks- Beloved Wife Mom and Grankey was called home to be with our heavenly father on April 18 2012 at the age of 77 years. She passed away peacefully at Hendrick Hospice surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born October 25 1934 in Mt. Vernon IL. to Clarence Robert Hall and Hazel Pearl Pierce Hall. She married Charles Sinks on December 10 1949. Shortly thereafter they received the call from God to enter the ministry in which they served for more than 60 years. Rose loved spending time at church and sharing God's gift of a beautiful voice singing. She was an avid doll collector and loved telling her family stories. She moved to Abilene in 1962 where she raised five children. For a span of over 30 years she also mothered over 100 foster children giving them the love and attention they had been lacking. She is survived by her spouse Rev. Charles Sinks sons; Bob Sinks and Tim Sinks; daughters Cindy Stevens Belinda Allbright and Debbie Sinks; also 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday April 19 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange Street . Funeral services will be at the First Assembly of God 1010 Cypress at 10:30 a.m. on Friday April 20 2012. Graveside services will follow at Bradshaw Cemetery .
