Rosie Lee Joiner "Sweetie" 84 of Abilene passed away Saturday May 30, 2020 at Hendrick Hospice Care. Funeral Services will be held Thursday June 4, 2020 at 12:00pm at Faith Deliverance Community Church with Bishop Shelton C. Rhodes Officiating. Burial will follow at the Abilene Municipal Cemetery.
Rosie was born July 24, 1935 in Mission, Texas to parents Joseph Williams and Laura Willis. She received her primary education from Yorktown public schools. After School she worked along side her mother for the school system. She continued to help her mother by taking care of her younger siblings. She loved them dearly and was loved very much in return. Her baby brother Rev. James Henderson wants the world to know that he loves his sister very much and he knows that he will see her again. She is his heart! After Marrying the love of her life and starting a family, she went back to work for the School System where she later retired.
Rosie moved to Abilene in 1986 and was a member of the Faith Deliverance Community church where she was an usher and a youth Sunday School Teacher. She loved to Read her Bible in her spare time, and working outside planting flowers. She loved church, Loved people but most of all she loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Left to cherish her memories are children: Ron Joiner and wife Samantha Joiner of Killeen, Texas Sheila Joiner of Abilene, Texas, Regina Joiner of Abilene, Texas Rodney Lee Joiner of Abilene, Texas and Mary Williams. Brother; James Henderson of Pecos, TX, Charles Henderson of Abilene, TX, Brother Roy Willis of Temple, TX, and sister Judy Sapp of Abilene, TX. 10 grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and a host of extended family and many friends.
