Ruben R Cisneros, 72, of Abilene Texas passed away on July 13, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, July 19, 2024 6-8 pm at North's Funeral home located at 242 Orange Street, Abilene Texas 79601. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 22, 2024 at 10am, Graham Street Church of Christ (Graham St Iglesia de Cristo), 2158 Graham Street, Abilene Texas 79603. Adam Cisneros will be officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Ruben Cisneros was born in Abilene Texas to Martin Cisneros Sr & Raquel Rodriguez Cisneros on April 25, 1952. He attended Abilene High School and received additional certifications for stenography and bookkeeping, he was a lineman, and became a carpenter by trade. He attended Graham Street Church. He lived in Texas, California, Maryland, Florida and returned to Texas in 2008 where he lived for the following 14 years. Ruben was preceded in death by his wife Cynthia McClure, both parents, Martin Cisneros Sr and Raquel Rodriguez Cisneros, siblings Martin Cisneros, Samuel Cisneros, Benjamin Cisneros, Robert Cisneros, Olga Cisneros Gutierrez; nephews Alejandro Cisneros, Michael Girtz and Robert Cisneros and great niece Alyssa Resendez. Ruben is survived by his daughter, Genesis Cisneros Gonzales (Elias) and Ruben Zechariah Cisneros; grandchildren Cynthia Cisneros, Nathan Gonzales, Vivica Gonzales, Zechariah Cisneros, Benjamin Cisneros and great grandchildren Luis "Witcho" Rodriguez, Jr, Alana Diaz, and Aaliyah Diaz and Brothers Daniel (Irma)Cisneros of San Angelo, Adam (Juanita)Cisneros of Abilene, Ricardo Cisneros of Abilene, Neftali Cisneros of San Antonio, Rene Cisneros of Abilene, Michael Cisneros of Dallas and Joe (Tamara) of Round Rock, Texas; and sisters Cecilia Cisneros and Melinda (Tommy)Cisneros both of Abilene and Jessica Williamson (Beau) of Michigan as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers include Elias Gonzales, Alonzo Diaz, Daniel J Cisneros, Gilbert Cisneros, Gabriel Cisneros, Jon Girtz, Candelario Jimenez, and Anthony Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers include Nathan Gonzales, Luis "Witcho" Rodriguez, Jr, Zechariah Cisneros, Benjamin Cisneros.
