Obituary

Ruby Lee Wishart 57 peacefully passed away on August 27 2013.  The memorial service will be held at The Texas Veterans Cemetery FM600 in Abilene Texas on Monday September 2 2013 at 12:00 noon with Chaplain (COL) USA Ret. Bill Libby officiating.  Ruby was born to Po and Helen Ruth (Graham) Collins on December 30 1955 in Hamlin Texas at home. Ruby as a Soldier in the United States Army was a graduate of the United States Army Combat Medic School at Fort Sam Houston San Antonio Texas. Later Ruby graduated from Cisco Junior College as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.  Ruby a devoted nurse dedicated her life to nursing and the care of the infirmed in and around the Abilene/Big Country area.  Preceding her in death were her parents Po and Helen brother David Collins and sister Jeannie Collins.   Ruby is survived by her loving husband SFC Thomas D. Wishart (U.S. Army Retired) of 30 years they shared their life together at Lake Fort Phantom.  Her four children: Marjorie S. Allen and husband Evan of Indianapolis Indiana; Thomas Douglas Wishart and wife Stacey of McComb Mississippi; MAJ David O.Wishart (U.S. Army Retired) and wife Rebel of Pearland Texas; and Katherine L. Porche and husband Michael of Roswell Georgia.  Her beloved 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as she was known to them as ""Granny"".  Special to her heart were ex-daughter in law Reagon and granddaughter's Annie Katy and Eliza. Ruby's sisters include Barbara (Bobby) Scrifes and Mary Collins both from Hamlin Texas.  Her brothers Charlie Collins (Pam) of Brownwood Texas Donald Collins (Donna) of Stamford Texas Henry Collins (Deanna) of Hamlin Texas Curtis Collins (Michelle) of Hamlin Texas.  Also Ruby had many nieces nephews and other family members whom she loved greatly.      The Wishart Family would like to give a special thank-you to our neighbors friends and family for all their love and support of our beloved Ruby whom will be dearly missed.    Online condolences can be made at www.northsfuneralhome.com.
