Ruby L. Wooten of Abilene, Texas passed away Friday, February 10th, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Memorial Services will be held Saturday March 11, 2023 at 11am at Divine Love Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Burns officiating. Ruby L. Wooten was born to Robert Lee Ruth and Yvonne Clewis on March 18th, 1954. Ruby received her primary education from Palestine, Texas. She went on soon after and got her GED. She loved watching Western movies and spending time with family and friends. She dedicated 10 years to the State School and Ohare Shutters for 5 years, she retired soon after that. Ruby Lee Wooten is proceeded in death by her father, Robert Lee Ruth; mother, Yvonne Clewis; daughter, Sherryon E. Ruth; sisters, Robbie L. Ruth, Marshelle A. Phillips. She leaves to cherish her memory are her daughters, Stephanie Ruth Smith of Abilene, Texas; Renee Ruth of Lubbock, Texas and her son, Brandon Wooten of Lubbock, Texas; her step children, Deborah, Louise, Jeff Monahan of Lubbock, Texas. Her three sisters, Viola Anderson of Merced, California, Brenda Mitchell, Shirley (John) Black of Lubbock, Texas; Three brothers, Charles (Karen) Mitchell of Aubrey, Texas; Chris (Sheila) Mitchell, Leroy Mitchell both of Lubbock. 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. "Special Niece" Krishena Mitchell and a host of other nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends.
