Santos Gonzales, age 94 entered into Heaven on Friday, March 22, 2024. Visitation will be at 6pm with the a Rosary at 7pm on Tuesday, March 26 at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St., Abilene. The Funeral mass will be at 10am on Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood St. in Abilene. Burial will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Santos was born on August 3rd, 1929 in Abilene to Manuel and Lojina Carrasco and lived in the area her entire life. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and was a Guadalapna and Cursillas. Santos was a homemaker who loved going out to eat and garage sales. Santos was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marcelo and her siblings, Mary, Luz, Faustina, Lupe, Manuel, Jesse and Faustino. Santos is survived by her son, Joe Gonzales; sister, Janie Gonzales; special friend, Rosa Garcia; caregivers, Mary Ann Stokes, Ramona Olvera, Melinda Stone and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank Hendrick Hospice and all of the nurses for the care that they gave Santos.
