Sheretta West was born in Abilene, Texas to the late James Howard and Anna Dean West on April 23, 1962. At an early age she accepted Christ into her life, and later instilled those and vital values into her life. Sheretta attended Abilene Public Schools and graduated from Abilene High School. She never married or had children but had several she claimed as God Children.
Sheretta was a faithful member of the Mount Zion First Baptist Church serving on the Hospitality committee. Sheretta worked several jobs; Luby's Cafeteria, Jason's Deli and later at Walmart until her health started to fail.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grand-parents, her brother, several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Left to cherish her memories is her sister Stephanie West, brother Stephen West (Cynthia), Aunt Linda Potts Colman, niece Myquesha Solomon and host of cousins and close friends.
The family would like to thank all the doctors and hospice nurses of Oklahoma, Sharon Penns for kindness on the rides to and from her doctors appointment in and out of town. More importantly, the sacrifice of Myesha and Calvin Dunn for their love and caring spirit they showed her during her final days. Also thank you for the calls, text, emails, cards, flowers and donation on the behalf of our love one during this difficult time; most importantly thank you for your prayers. God Bless you and keep you is our prayer.
