Sherry Lynn Bainbridge, 72, of Abilene, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. at Broadview Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Bainbridge, currently residing in Abilene; her brothers: Winston Allison of Anson, Larry Allison of Lamesa, Bob Allison of Wimberly; her son, Rusty Tunnell of Sayre, Oklahoma; daughter, Lori Davis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-son Clint Bainbridge of Royse City, Texas; step-daughters: Tanya Lea Schmelzle of Asheville, North Carolina, Wendi Joy Metters of Boston, Massachusetts; thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was very loved by her church congregation. Sherry had a variety of illustrious executive positions, chief of which was her lengthy career with Lockheed-Martin in Littleton, Colorado from which she retired.
