Shirley Jean Adams 71 died Thursday in Cincinnati Ohio. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday in Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Herb Wood officiating directed by North's Funeral Home 242 Orange. Mrs. Adams was born August 23rd 1938 and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. She married James Terry Adams of the U.S. Air Force in 1958 in Covington Kentucky. She with her husband was assigned to Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene TX in 1971 where they settled and raised their children and later retired. She and her husband shared the love for and involvement in the Buffalo Gap "flea market" as well as many others in the local area. She was a very caring person who loved you even if she just met you. She was a loving strong willed military wife and mother to all and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by; her parents George and Gertrude Van Dyke; husband James T. Adams; son Michael Adams and daughter Teresa Adams. Survivors include three sons James D. Adams Ernest "Butch" Adams and Joseph Adams; one daughter Dawn E. Adams one brother; James Van Dyke; two sisters Jacqueline Fouch Marilyn Humphries; ten grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren with one more great grandchild due the end of April.
