Shirley Fryer Gay, 80, of Abilene, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025. She was born on July 22, 1945, in Farmersville, Texas, to Alfred and Gladys Fryer. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marion Eugene Gay; her parents, Albert and Gladys Fryer; her brother, Michael Fryer; and her grandson, Joshua Mayrand. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Teresa Mayrand, and son-in-law, Jason Mayrand. Shirley also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Christopher Mayrand and his wife Kelsey, and Nicholas Mayrand. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Matthew, Mila, Nevin, and Baby Mayrand. Shirley will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the deep love she held for her family. Her presence will be dearly missed and her memory forever treasured.
