Shirley Ann Link, age 80, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at a local hospital after a long illness. Arrangements have been entrusted to North's Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Shirley Ann Kelly was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on August 20, 1944, to Dee and Patsy (Ryan) Kelly. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1962. She worked for many years in a variety of jobs from seamstress to cabinet maker. Shirley loved card games, reading, spending time with her family, and crafting. She married Ernest Earl Link on October 4, 1963, in Amarillo, Texas, where they made their home and welcomed two children, a son, Robin Link, born in 1964, and a daughter, Renee Link, born in 1965. A redhead by birth, Shirley's personality and humor were larger than life. She was quick-witted, sarcastic and whole lot of fun. Shirley's ability to forgive those who wronged her will forever be legendary. She fiercely loved her family, and in spite of her physical disabilities, she spent her life trying to care for those around her. She had a ferocious competitive streak and would whoop your tail at any card game ever. She was an incredible mother, grandmother and aunt to all her "babies," no matter our ages. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Link; her children, Robin Link and Renee Morrow, her parents, Dee and Jessie Kelly and Butch Williams and Patsy (Williams) Nelson; and her sister, Jessie Ashford. Survivors include her brothers, Dee Kelly and wife Kay of Stonewall, OK, Keith Kelly and wife Brenda of Shawnee, OK, her grandchildren, Jeremy Morrow and wife Kayleen of Throckmorton, Amanda Morrow of Abilene, Ricky Link of Abilene and Robby Link of Abilene, several great grandchildren, and a whole host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Shirley's memory.
