Funeral Services will be March 24, 2022 at 10am at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church with burial to follow at the Abilene municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held March 23, 2022 from 6-8pm with rosary to be held at 7pmSimon was born October 12, 1964 in Abilene, TX to Simon Y. Prado and Isabel Garcia-Johnston. Simon received his primary education from Abilene public schools. After High School started a career in furniture moving and worked for many years in the industry. Simon loved to be around family and friends, especially playing a game of cards or gambling. He was a very hands on person and he loved to work on cars, he loved to dance, but most of all he loved his family.Simon was preceded in death by parents Simon Y. Prado and Isabel G. Johnston, sister Olivia Prado, brother Larry Prado, and niece Rachel Prado.Left to cherish his memories are: son Nico Prado and wife ashley of Abilene, daughters: Olivia Prado and husband Michael Abilene, Mistyblue Perez of Abilene, son Simon Steven Prado of Abilene. sisters: Sandra Johnston of Abilene, Terry Prado of Abilene, brother Robert Prado Sr. of Abilene, 7 grandchildren; Jeremiah Prado, Ariana Prado, Kaiden Wilson, Kayson Wood, Ciara Collier, Simon Prado IV, Jo' Angel Hernandez and a host of extended family and many friends.
