Stephanie Marie Merriam of Abilene passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at her home. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday December 8, 2021 at 10am, at Abilene City Cemetery with Russell Allen Officiating. Stephanie was born June 13, 1970 in Stephenville, TX to Dorothy Hood and Billy Edward Merriam. Stephanie received her primary education from Stephenville and Abilene public schools. She attended Abilene High School, and after High School she began a career in Child care. Stephanie was a caring person who loved children. Her and her mother Dorothy operated a in home day care for many years caring for children, which is what she loved to do. Stephanie loved to read, Play Games on her tablet and she loved swimming. She was a faithful member of the 2nd Baptist Church. Stephanie was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents and aunt Rowena Morgan. Left to cherish her memories are: mother, Dorothy Barton of Abilene, Billy Edward Merriam, sisters; Mary Day of Abilene, Jennifer Bein of Hawley, TX. Kari Merriam of Abilene, brother Joseph Merriam of Abilene, uncles, Ronnie Merriam and Gary Merriam, and a host of cousins and many friends.
