Stephen E. Brown 63 of Abilene, passed away August 25, 2025 in Abilene, TX. A memorial service will be held Saturday September 6, 2025 at 1pm at North 10th and Treadaway Church of Christ 943 N. Treadaway Blvd.

Stephen Earl Brown was born in Brownwood, Texas on January 30th,1962 to Doris Brown and Earl Brown. At an early age Stephen moved to Abilene, Texas with his mother where she married Ezekiel Benitez. Stephen was raised by Ezekiel and Doris. He attended Taylor, Jefferson, and Cooper schools here in Abilene. He graduated from Cooper High School in 1981 and then later attended College at Abilene Christian University for two years. Stephen was a great athlete during his time in school. He played baseball, basketball, and football. Stephen is preceded in death by his (mother) Doris Benitez, (sister) Maria Benitez, (brother) Raymond Hatcher Jr. Stephen is survived by (father) Ezekiel Benitez, brothers Victor Brown of San Angelo, Ezekiel Benitez Jr. (Antwonette) of San Antonio, his girlfriend Toni Murillo, children Kalin Brown of Abilene, Graylon Brown (Kayla) daughters Julie and Eliana of Brownwood, daughter Destiney Livingston and granddaughter Da'niyah Lee Waters of Abilene, Jaden Brown of Abilene. Special nieces Kendra Brown of Abilene and Toni Brown of Abilene. Special friends Scott Conner and Mitchell Elder.

Stephen had a great love for football and was a Dallas Cowboy fan. Stephen loved hanging out with his family and friends and talked plenty of trash. Uncle Stephen, we love you and take your rest
