Steve Clevenger of Abilene passed away October 22 2010 at the age of sixty-six. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamby Cemetery with Jesse Morton officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Mr. Clevenger was born in Littlefield Texas to Jack and Laura Clevenger. He married Jewel White. She preceded him in death on October 6 2010. He worked for Brown and Root Company and Pride Refinery for over 20 years. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Johnny J.W. and Donald Clevenger; and two sisters; Rita Green and Bessie Sanders. He is survived by his daughters Lisa Vanwinkle of Baytown Texas and Laura (DeeDee) Singh of Abilene a son Kenneth Clevenger of Baytown Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers Wayne Clevenger of Abilene and Tommy Clevenger of Kilgore Texas; two sisters Geneva Fulton of Copeville Texas and Rosie Dericks of Lovington New Mexico.
