Steven Dale Courson, 67 years old, of Merkel, Texas, passed away on January 31st, 2024 in Abilene, Texas. Steve was born in Borger, Texas to Jerry and Darlene on October 9th, 1956. He attended R.L. Turner High School, then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. He met his beautiful wife in 1978 in Fort Worth, Texas. They spent 44 years together and had two sons during that time. Steve enjoyed watching football with his boys, going fishing, and playing golf. He worked on golf courses most of his life and enjoyed bringing them to their full potential. Steve is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Shane and his wife Amber, son, Patrick and his wife Shelbi; sister, Teresa and husband Dusty; four grandkids, Aiden, Chance, Paizley, and Palmer, and numerous other friends and family, and their dogs, Harley and Remi.
