Theodore Vernon Flores, better known as Ted, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the age of 51. He was born November 4, 1970 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico to Napoleon Flores and Vicki Zinck. After graduating from high school, Ted joined the Marines and dedicated over 9 years in service to his country. Throughout his times in the Marines, he traveled all over the world, had many adventures and ended his military career as a Sergeant. After completing his military service, he spent several years in Florida before he moved to his final state of destination, Texas. In Texas he had a variety of jobs ranging from the oil fields to construction foreman before finally retiring, settling down, and purchasing a home in the small town of Hamlin, Texas. Ted was a fierce and loyal patriot of his country and celebrated the Marine Corps birthday each year along with his own. He had the heart of a teacher who enjoyed training individuals in both survival and self-defense techniques but the exterior of the soldier. He also served as the chaplain for his local VFW. One of his greatest joys in life was talking with his brother, Joel, on a daily basis, and visiting Joel's family as often as he was able to. He loved spending time with his nephews, watching them swim, and compete in water polo tournaments. Ted is survived by his father, mother, his step-father Harold George Sexton, his half-brother Harold Joel Sexton, and half-brother Robert Woodrow Flores.
