SSGT. Timothy P. O'Neill Sr. (E6) 63 of Abilene passed away Wednesday May 18, 2022 at his home. Graveside service will be held Friday May 27, 2022 at 1pm at the Texas State Veteran Cemetery with Pastor Richard Darden officiating. Timothy Patrick O'Neill was born May 17,1959 in Detroit, Michigan to Dennis and Charlene O'Neill. He received his primary education from Westland Public Schools, After high school he attended Eastern Michigan University and received a bachelors degree in Political Science. After graduating he received a teaching certificate and went on to teach courses in the Military. Timothy joined the United States Army and after service in the army he joined the United States Air Force and served for 21 years, 7 of those years being active duty. Timothy loved running every time he got a chance, he also loved fishing, watching baseball and he loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys. Timothy volunteered at the Abilene Zoo and was active in helping the area homeless. Our dad had a great sense of humor and had a deep love for music. Coach Tim was the best T-Ball coach the YMCA has ever seen. Tim O'Neill was a character and will live in our hearts forever. We Love you Dad. XOXO Timothy was preceded in death by parents Dennis O'Neill, Charlene Heagle-O'Neill aunt Kathleen O'Neill, uncle Jack O'Neill, uncle Bill O'Neill, and aunt Mary Gruzczinski. Left to cherish his memories are his children: Robert O'Neill, Brittany Thompson, Charlotte O'Neill of Flower Mound, TX, Caroline O'Neill of Flower Mound, TX., sons Joshua Campbell of Slidell Louisiana, Timothy O'Neill Jr. of Flower Mound TX., Daniel O'Neill of Flower Mound TX., siblings, Maureen O'Neill of Michigan, Terrance O'Neill of South Lyon, Michigan, Colleen McGuiness of Maryland, Dorreen O'Neill of Michigan, aunt Patricia Piotrowski of Taylor Michigan, uncles James O'Neill Northville, Michigan, Michael O'Neill of Howell, Michigan, 3 grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews extended family and many friends.
