Tommy Lloyd Harris, age 68, of Abilene, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at North's Funeral Home.Tommy was born on February 19, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Vernon Arthur Harris and Mary Alice Boyer. A true Texas soul, Tommy lived life with grit, humor, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys.He had a knack for fixing just about anything - a true handyman with a gift for woodworking and mechanical work. If it was broken, Tommy could figure it out. He loved spending time in his garage tinkering, always surrounded by tools, projects, and the company of his loyal dog, Boe.Tommy was most at ease outdoors-whether he was hunting, fishing, or sitting on the porch, taking in the quiet beauty around him. He found comfort in the stillness of nature, especially when deer wandered by or birds flitted through the trees. He also enjoyed the excitement of the races and had a lifelong love for sports of all kinds. He was known for his wit, his love of games (especially a good round of Mexican Train), and his generous spirit.
