Tommy James McMillion, 58, of Buffalo Gap, Texas, passed away early Sunday morning, May 17, 2026, at his home surrounded by his wife and children. Tommy was a true jack of all trades throughout his life. He owned an upholstery shop, worked in upholstery at Tige Boats, and owned several other businesses over the years. No matter what he was doing, Tommy brought energy, humor, and personality everywhere he went. He loved his family deeply and intentionally. Tommy never needed a reason to call - whether it was to check in, talk about what he was eating, or simply make someone laugh. He had a way of making every person feel important and special. His family will forever remember the countless "Tommy-isms" that became part of everyday life: "My GOSH," "check out this jewel," and "I should've already been gone," (in the mornings when he had to be somewhere), along with so many other sayings that will continue to live on through the people who loved him. Tommy loved the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers - even during the years they tested his patience. He loved the lake, sports, dirt track racing, and being around people, but more than anything, Tommy genuinely loved life. Sitting still was never really an option for him. He always needed to be doing something, and somehow, he could make anything fun. Those who knew Tommy knew his wild, hilarious side. He was often the life of the party, and when Tommy was around, everyone knew it. Beneath all of that was an incredibly caring and loving husband, son, father, brother, and friend. The side his family will remember most was the intentional way he loved them, supported them, and made them feel seen. Tommy lit up every room he walked into, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of those who loved him. Tommy is survived by the love of his life, Traci McMillion; his children, Colin Cloud (Christine), Madilynn McMillion, Macie McMillion, and Ariel McMillion; his stepchildren, Justin Farmer (Marissa) and Peyton Ream-Oles (Jackie); his granddaughter, Piper Sue Farmer; his sisters, Connie Deen (Kerry), and Vicky Bailey (Jim); his uncle, John Kiefer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnne "Jodie" Loven; his father, George "Butch" Loven; his grandparents, Ida Mae Hokanson and Leon Hokanson; and his uncles, Ray Smith and Ronnie Smith. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Beltway Church South in Abilene, Texas.
