Obituary

Tony also known as Grandpa Jack Camacho, 63 of Abilene passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. Tony left his earthly home to join his Heavenly Father in Heaven. He was surrounded with family that meant the world to him. Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27 from 6-8pm at North's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday December 28, 2022, at 11a.m. at North's Funeral Home located at 242 Orange St. Abilene TX. with Pastor McCravey officiating. Burial to be follow at Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Tony was born January 29, 1959, in Abilene, TX to Ruby Gonzales and Florentino "Tino" Camacho. Tony graduated from Abilene High School in 1978 and worked for Ben E. Keith Produce until 1988, then went to work for Rocket Olds Dealership as their wrecker driver the dealership was then sold to McGavock Nissan and then to Clark Nissan, Tony took all the changes in stride. Tony was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan. He enjoyed playing softball and bowling and coaching his daughter Samantha's softball team from T-ball till she was 15. You could always find him at his grandson's baseball games and accompanying them during their travel ball games with the Abilene Braves and West Texas Mayhems, always cheering them on. Tony loved his grandchildren dearly, whether he was at the fields or just relaxing and watching them all play, cry and cause havoc to everyone around. There was never a dull moment at the Camcho home. Tony was preceded in death by father; Florentino "Tino" Camacho, son; Jason Herrera Camacho, grandparents Louis and Pauline Gonzales, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Camacho. Those left to cherish his memories and legacy are Son, Christopher Herrera Camacho, 2 Daughters; Samantha Marie Pardo (Tim), Kimberly Ann Camacho and Mother Ruby Gonzales, Brother; Robert Camacho (Debra), the mother of his children Janie Paz (Ralph), and his pride and joy 8 grandchildren; Faith, Timothy aka Bubba and Jacob Pardo, Siyah Corbit, Kameron, Ayden and Brayden Camacho and Laura Camacho and a host of extended family and many friends. Honorary Pallbearers grandsons: Timothy aka Bubba and Jacob Pardo. We would like to thank Dr. Khalife and staff, the ladies that helped him with his chemo, Hendrick Hospice for being so attentive to Tony and our concerns during this difficult time and to our mom Janie Paz for always helping with our dad.
