Tressie M. Swan 96 of Abilene passed away Friday April 13 2007. A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Clovis New Mexico. Ms. Swan was born August 23 1910 to Walter and Eliza Morgan in Mineral Wells Texas. Her family moved to Taiban New Mexico in 1912. Tressie graduated from Clovis High School in 1928. She married Fred W. Swan December 25 1938 in Clovis New Mexico. She worked as a sales person and bookkeeper in Clovis for two years and was the Deputy County Treasurer in Clovis New Mexico for eight years. She was a gifted musician and played the organ and piano. She was the organist for the First Baptist Church in Clovis New Mexico for many years. She and Fred moved to Abilene in 1946. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Abilene for many years. She loved to work in her yard. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Eliza Morgan; her beloved husband Fred Swan May of 2004; sisters Zella Lea and Ada Borden; brothers Asa Joseph and Lewie Morgan.
