Venancio Munoz 75 of Abilene passed away Tuesday March 23 2010. Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. with a rosary from 7-7:30. Services will 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church with Father George Thirumangalam officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange Street. Vanancio was born and raised in Abilene Texas to Cruz and Angelita Cortinaz Munoz. He married Patricia Munoz on September 16 1963. He was the first bass guitar player in Abilene in the sixties. He loved music and played with Mike Olvera Los Rayos del Norte de Johnny Balderas Los Tres Aces and Marcos Martinez. He worked in construction in the seventies and for Odies Truck Service during the eighties. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Nato Munoz Jose Munoz and Madranio Munoz.
