Vernon R. Mask 81 of Abilene passed away Wednesday December 20 2006. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the University Church of Christ Chapel with Derrick Bam officiating. Burial will follow in Ross Cemetery in Baird Texas under the direction of North's Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Mr. Mask was born January 27 1925 in Oplin Texas to Radford and Flora Mask. He served in the United States Army during WWII in the 182nd Infrantry. During his term in the U.S. Army he received three Bronze Stars and one Bronze Arrowhead. He married Jerry Pritchard in 1948. He was a member of the University Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents wife two brothers and one sister. He is survived by two sons; Keith Mask and wife Elizabeth of Brownwood Texas and Gary Mask and wife Denise of Keller Texas. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
