Vester Adrian Bland Jr., 82, of Hawley, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025. A memorial service honoring his life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM at North's Funeral Home.Vester was born on May 17, 1942, in Merkel, Texas, to Vester Adrian Bland Sr. and Dorthy Lucille Hampton. A true craftsman at heart, Vester had a lifelong passion for working with his hands. He built things with care and precision, always enjoying the process of creation.He was a proud amateur radio operator, reaching voices across the world through the airwaves. Vester also found joy in coin collecting and was an avid audiophile in his younger years. As technology evolved, so did he-always a tech enthusiast, he was the go-to computer guy for friends and family. A loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, he rarely missed a game.More than anything, Vester cherished his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.He will be remembered for his curiosity, kindness, and the quiet wisdom he shared with those lucky enough to know him.Vester was preceded in death by wives Joy Bland and Shirley Bland and grandson Timothy J Bland.Left to cherish his memories are: daughters Carmen Murphey, Donna Fernandez and husband Rudy, Son Vester Bland III and wife Gay, grandchildren, Shasta Wall, Samantha Folmer-Murphey, Roy Bland, Taylor Bland, Kari Jackson, Michael Fernandez, Michelle Miller, Branddy Hopkins, Joseph Fernandez, Christopher Fernandez, Angelina Fernandez, and Mackenzie Norris.
