Victor Martinez, 57, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2025, in Abilene. He was born in Abilene, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Victor will be remembered for his love of cars and his dedication to his work as a mechanic. Victor attended Jefferson Middle School and Cooper High School in Abilene. For many years, he worked as a mechanic, including a long tenure with Western Auto in Fort Worth. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skill and passion for fixing cars. His love for working on cars was not just a career but a lifelong hobby that brought him joy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at North's Funeral Home. Victor is survived by his loving mother, Juanita Martinez of Abilene; his brothers, David Martinez and wife Anita of Abilene, Sammy Martinez of Abilene, and Christopher Martinez of Abilene; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ballinger, and his father, John C. Martinez. Victor's family would like to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
