Virginia Lucille (Lucy) Jones, 85, of Abilene, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24th - 2:00 p.m. at North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street. Lucy was born February 26, 1929 in Cisco, Texas to James and Minnie Boatman. Lucy has gone home to join her husband, H.W. (Blackie) Jones. She was loved and will be dearly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, H.W. (Blackie) Jones; one sister, Jayne Norris, and two brothers, Gerald Boatman and James Boatman. She is survived by two sons, Cliff Jones and wife Nancy, and Vic Jones and wife Brenda; one daughter, Mitzi Jones Daniell; one brother, Kenneth Boatman; two sisters, Margaret McGough, and Marye Steadham; eleven grandchildren (12th on the way); ten great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
