Obituary

Virginia Niehaus of Abilene, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 9:45am at North's Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-7pm at North's Funeral Home Chapel. Virginia was born October 16,1933 in Harrington Park, NJ. to Grace Van Vorst and Glen Blauvelt. Virginia received her primary education from Bogota Schools. She met and married the love of her life Herman Niehaus, and they spent 69 loving years together. Herman was a career Military Man, and Virginia traveled with him to his various duty stations. She found great joy spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by parents; Glen Blauvelt and Grace Van Vorst-Blauvelt and sister, Mary Knorr. Left to cherish her memories are: husband of 69 years, Herman Ludwig Niehaus of Abilene, Texas. Children: Roger Niehaus and Wife Ginger of Abilene, Texas, Janet Niehaus of Wall, South Dakota, Debbie Katona and husband Rick of Cibolo, Texas, Craig Niehaus of Arlington, Texas. 8 grandchildren: Mystal, Dustin, Nicholus, Brandon, Alexis, Nathan, Macie, Ryan, great-grandchildren: Kamry, Hailee, Hudson, Garrett, Peyton, Taylor and sisters: Barbara of Burleson, Texas, and Peggy and husband Ernie of Burleson, Texas. Pallbearers will be Dustin Black, Nicholus Niehaus, Brandon Adkins, Nathan Niehaus, Ryan Niehaus, and Case Jackson.
