Obituary

Wade Lee Meyers, 51, of Abilene, passed away Monday, September 28, 2015. Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Texas State Veterans Cemetery, with Mark Traeger officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday in North's Memorial Chapel, 242 Orange Street. Wade Lee Meyers was born November 11, 1963 in Toledo, Ohio to Wayne Lee and Mary Jane Meyers. He grew up in Ida, Michigan. Wade faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, and other outdoor activities. Wade loved his family, his country, and the airmen that he proudly served alongside. He was honored to be a part of "The Pride". He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Lee Meyers. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jane Ciesinskia and her husband Ed, son; Michael Wade Meyers, daughter, Stephanie Ann Davis and her husband Trey, granddaughter, Berkley Ann Davis, sister, Terri Meyers and her husband Claud, brother, Boyd Meyers and his wife Sara, and numerous nieces and nephews.
