Wanda Maxine Paxton 80 passed from this life at 2:45 A.M. Tuesday August 26 2008 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday August 29 2008 at North's Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday August 28 2008 6:00-7:30 P.M. at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Maxine was born June 12 1928 in Ontario Oregon to Harvey W. and Mattie Lou Crump. She married Ben Paxton on May 20 1946 at Nampa Idaho. They lived variously at Abilene Texas Marpole British Columbia Vale Oregon Burly Idaho Boise Idaho Malta Idaho and Hawley Texas. She attended college at Boise Junior College and Abilene Christian College pursing a degree in primary education. She was preceded in death by her parents one son Timothy and five siblings. She is survived by her husband and three sons Brian of Woodland Texas Thomas of Yukon Oklahoma and George of Abilene Texas. Grandchildren; Trent Paxton and Clinton Paxton of Yukon Oklahoma and three great-grandchildren; Bryan and Shawn Paxton of Cross Plains Texas. Rain Hall of Yukon Oklahoma and many adopted orphans over the world. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made in Maxine's honor to Christian Relief Fund Box 19670 Amarillo Texas 79114-1670 or a similar Christian charity of the donor's choice.
