Wayland Bailey 89 of Abilene passed away Wednesday May 04 2011.  Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday in North's Memorial Chapel with great-nephew Pastor Justin Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Texas Veteran's Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening at North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St .   Mr. Bailey was born January 7 1922 in Ovalo Texas to Wylie and Laura Bailey. He married Joyce Pinkerton on February 17 1949 in Abilene Texas . He worked for Citizen's National Bank for thirty-three years as Vice President. He also owned and operated Bailey's Pilot Service for ten years.  He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was a member and past president of the Optimist Club and was also a Mason. He enjoyed square dancing with his lovely wife Joyce.   He is preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of  sixty-two years.
