Weston Ross ""Wes"" Hollis 72 of Abilene died Thursday June 12 2008 in a local hospital. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in North's Memorial Chapel with Robert Graven officiating. Burial to follow in Hawley Cemetery under direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 - 7:30 PM at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Wes was born April 04 1936 in Hawley Texas to Lawrence and Ethel Hollis. He served in the United States Army. He married Velma Whitaker in Abilene August 12 1963. He worked for Texas Instruments in the oil field and drove a taxi. He was preceded in death by his parents . He is survived by his wife Velma Hollis three daughters Mitsy McLean and husband Jay from Hawley Stacy Vigil and husband Philip Jr. from Westbrook and Samantha Vigil and husband Felix from Abilene one brother L.C. Hollis from Hodges four Grandchildren: Michael Ross Hollis Matthew Ian McLean Christopher Sean McLean and Zachary Felix Vigil.
