William "Scooter" Boyd 64 of Abilene passed away Saturday February 3 2007. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Ft. Phantom Cemetery with Dr. Herb Wood officiating under the direction of North's Funeral Home 242 Orange St. Mr. Boyd was born October 6 1942 to Claude and Bertha Boyd in Abilene. He worked in the oil fields as a welder for 20 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers A. T. Boyd Aden M. Boyd and Harry Boyd. He is survived by three sons; William Boyd and Vance Boyd of Anson and Robert M. Boyd of Clyde. One sister; Nadine Kerr of Abilene and one brother Claudie Boyd of California.
