William D. Henderson 79, of Abilene passed away on Wednesday March 6, 2024 in Abilene, TX. Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 26, 2024 at 11am at North's Funeral Home, with burial to follow at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-7pm at North's Funeral Home. William (Bill) Douglas Henderson was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Ben Waschura and Margie Henderson on October 2, 1944. He married Theresa (Terri) Debelak on June 10, 1976 in Euclid, Ohio. He served in the Air Force for four years. He also worked for the City of Abilene for 25 years, primarily as the Event Coordinator at the Abilene Civic Center, until his retirement in 2011. He was an avid sports fan who rooted for Cleveland's professional sports teams. William Douglas Henderson was preceded in death by his father Ben and mother Margie. William Douglas Henderson is survived by his wife Terri, his son Bryan, Bryan's wife Amye, his daughter Erica, his sister Nancy, his grandchildren Roland, Amanda, Isaac, Jay and Aaron, his great-granddaughter Violet, his nephews Larry, Mike and Bobby, and his niece Valerie.
