Rev. William E. Rodall Jr. "Billy" passed away June 21, 2024 in Abilene, A service of praise and celebration will be held Saturday June 29 at 10am at New Fellowship Baptist Church located at 1142 Tracy Lynn St. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday June 28 from 6-8pm. Interment will be held on Monday July 1st at 10am at the Abilene City Cemetery. William Edward Rodall, Jr. "Billy" was born at Edwards Airforce Base in California to Edith Mae Culver-Rodall and William Edward Rodall, Sr. On March 15, 1960. Billy accepted Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Pomona, California where he was a faithful member of the youth church. He was a member of the Baptist Youth Department, the choir and Sunday School. He loved singing gospel songs with his brother and father. He was always called on to preach when he came home to Pomona to visit his family. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing dominoes, and card games, and watching and attending sports events. He attended Ganesha High School in Pomona, California. He continued his education at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, California. His father was in the military and retired from the Air Force. The family moved to Littlerock, California. Billy attended Alpine Elementary School. His family later moved to Pomona, California where Billy attended Arroyo Elementary, Marshall Junior High and Ganesha High School. Billy was a gifted athlete, participating in football, basketball, baseball and track and field. Upon graduating from High school, he went on to play football at Chaffey College until he sustained a shoulder injury and changed his sport of choice to track and field. He loved participating in all types of sports. Billy worked as an assistant coach for football and track. He coached girls track at Ganesha High School. He was also a personal trainer for several high school and college students. In following his father's footsteps, he became a building contractor. Once he developed his skills to the desired level, he became a licensed private contractor himself working in the Pomona area. In 2005, Billy's Godfather, Acie Plummer encouraged him to move with him to Abilene, Texas and partner with him as a building contractor. Grace Homes Improvements was established in Abilene, Texas where they built many beautiful homes all over the Abilene Area until 2013. During this same time frame, Billy was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, in Abilene, Texas On July 3, 2016, Billy and Angela-Dunn Rodall united in marriage in Abilene, Texas. Billy worked as supervisor of maintenance at McDonald's until he became ill. Along with working for McDonald's, he owned and operated his company known as Grace Homes. Billy had a passion for the elderly community. He made sure that he would visit many of our seniors and showing them love just by sitting and conversating with them on a regular basis. When he went home to visit the family in Pomona, he was always called upon by senior citizens of his community to assist them with repairs. In 2017, Rev. Rodall was licensed and ordained to preach. Rev. Rodall preached the Word of God everywhere he went. He was faithful to his calling. He preached the Word of God until his illness would not allow him to preach anymore but he remained faithful to the House of God. Rev. Rodall was an Associate Minister of New Fellowship Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas under the leadership of Pastor J.W. Webbs. He was a faithful and dedicated man that stood faithfully by his Pastor's side. During his discipleship at New Fellowship, he served as a Sunday School teacher for the youth, a choir member, choir president, male chorus, Brotherhood and President of Brotherhood. Rev. Rodall was a member of the Greater Abilene Ministerial Alliance where he served as Secretary. Billy was a man with many shoes, suits and hats. He loved his suits and making sure he matched from head to toe. His greatest legacy would be preaching, singing, mentoring, fellowshipping, and showing unconditional love and support to his friends and family members. Billy will be truly missed among many people. He touched many lives just by being who he was. Billie was preceded in death by his father William Rodall, Sr., and both his maternal and paternal grandparents. William Edward Rodall, Jr. Is survived by his wife, Angela Rodall, step children, Whitney Brown, Tiona Hart and Tyrus Hart, all of Abilene. Thirteen grandchildren. His mother, Edith Mae Culver-Rodall; Brother, Duane Anthony Rodall of Abilene; Sisters, Diane (Jerome) Rodall-Wheeler of Jacksonville, Florida, Gwendolyn Ann (Rene') Harden of Apple Valley, California; and Gerri Denisce Rodall of Pomona, California; eight aunts and four uncles; and a host of nephew and neices.
