William Roy Smith, 83, of Abilene, passed away Sunday December 2, 2018. There will be a graveside service at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Potosi Cemetery with Pastor Jami McCravey officiating. Visitation service will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the North's Memorial Chapel Under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street. William was born on June 8, 1935 to Elmer C. Smith and Louella Petree, in Abilene, Texas. He married Willie Holcomb on January 17, 1973. William had nine kids. William loved to dance and play country music. He also enjoyed watching old western movies and working on his truck. William is preceded in death by his parents, two daughters Glenda Toppings and Nancy Kilough. He is survived by his wife Willie; five sons: Mark Smith, Kenneth Smith, Terry Smith, William Joe Smith, and William Roy Smith, Jr.; two daughters, Teresa Smith and Charlotte Woods; 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
