ABILENE - William Earl Weeks, 72, of Abilene, passed away on the morning of Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at John Peter Smith Hospital, Fort Worth. He was born July 23, 1951, at Fort Bragg, N.C., a son of William and Sallie (Frink) Weeks. He married Barbara Matteson and they had 2 children. He is survived by his children SaraBeth Ray and Peter Weeks (Lynne), his stepfather Angelo Fraga, sisters Pearl Berry and Sarah Kulpa, brother Edgar Weeks, and grandchildren Malachi, Joel, Naomi, and Lydia as well as his former wife Barbara Weeks. A loving man of God, he loved his family and trusted God for his life in this world and eternity. A graveside service with military honors, will be held at 11 AM Friday December 29, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, Pr. Clyde Kieschnick will officiate. A celebration of life for the family will be held in Illinois or Missouri sometime in 2024.
