Willie Greenway Hicks beloved mother and grandmother passed away Thursday February 14 2008 at the age of 102. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday February 18 2008 at North's Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Abilene Texas. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at North's Memorial Chapel 242 Orange St. Willie was born December 6 1905 in Oenaville Texas to John E. and Blanche Greenway. She married Talmage Hicks November 10 1923 in Taylor County. She was a member of the Hamby Baptist Church and lived in Hamby for 60 years. She worked for Timex Corporation for over 18 years and retired December 31 1970. She was preceded in death by her parents husband one brother two sisters three sons Harold Hicks James Hicks and Gaylon Hicks; one daughter Eulaine Haile three grandsons and one great granddaughter. She is survived by two sons Victor Hicks and wife Johnelle of Hamby Texas Sol Hicks and wife Sue of Bakersfield California; three daughters Edna Robertson of Merkel Freda Litton of Abilene and Theresa Collum and husband Carl of Abilene; two daughter- in- laws Betty Hicks of Azle Texas and Lillie Hicks of Spartanburg South Carolina; Twenty three grandchildren Fifty five great grandchildren 15 great - great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hendrick Hospice Center and the nurses of Parker Six staff for all their love care and support they provided for our mother and family during this difficult time.
