Wilmoth Elizabeth ""Johnnie"" Tatum joined Jesus in Heaven Monday May 18 2009. Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at her church Trinity Baptist. Reverend Kevin Kennedy will conduct services assisted by Brother Jeff Fenwick of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Hawley Texas. Come celebrate with us! Wilmoth was born to Lee and Ethel Burton on October 30 1912 in Jackson County Georgia. She married Richard H. Tatum on July 20 1929. Together they raised their seven children in Cottle and Jones Counties. She was ""Johnnie"" to friends; mother mom or ma to her seven children; grandma to twenty-eight children; great-grandma to fifty-four children; great-great-grandma to forty-three children; and great-great-great-grandma to two children. She had a total of one hundred thirty-four descendents. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard; two sons: Larrie Tatum and Guy B. Tatum; five brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren: Celestia Ann Tatum and Johnny Mack ""Rister"" Tatum; and sons-in-law Leo Stewart and Lonnie Jordan. She is survived by her children: Corrine Hansen of Abilene; Von Dell Stewart of Lometa Texas; Omega Jordan of Hawley; Richard Don and wife Peggy Taylor Tatum of Hawley; James E. and wife Maxine Jones Tatum of Hawley; daughters-in-law Susie Tollar Tatum of Hawley and Patricia Smith Tatum of Abilene; her brother Glendon ""Blackie"" Burton of Levelland Texas; and a host of nieces nephews and friends. We will miss our mother greatly but we are so very glad that she is celebrating in Heaven with Jesus and daddy.
