Elliot Kirk
Funeral Director & Mortician
Born and raised in Brownwood, Texas, Elliot Kirk graduated from Brownwood High School in 1998. After high school, he attended Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, receiving a B.S. Degree in Computer Engineering Tech. At the age of 24, he received an Associate of Applied Science degree from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service.
Elliot has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for the State of Texas since 2004. He started his Career in the funeral profession working for one of the largest funeral home corporations for 7 years, later to form a family-operated corporation Kirk Family Funeral Homes, Inc.
Where it all began: In 2005, Elliot and his family opened Baker-Kirk Mortuary in Coleman, Texas; in 2008, Dove Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas; in 2010, Brownwood Funeral Home in Brownwood, Texas; in 2018, North’s Funeral Home in Abilene, Texas; in 2018, Big Country Crematory in Brownwood, Texas.
His commitment to the community extends beyond his professional life. Elliot is a member of both the Abilene and Brownwood Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Abilene Black Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
Elliot is married to Brittiany Robertson-Kirk, and together they have a son, Elijah T. Kirk. Elliot’s whole family has been involved in the operation of Kirk Family Funeral Homes since its conception, including his parents, Ernest and Adelia Kirk. Together, they see their professional work as a ministry to serve the families of the entire Big Country, along with their professional staff who work closely together and consider each other as family.
Elliot enjoys spending time with his family, helping bereaved families, riding motorcycles, camping, boating, and fishing.

Brittiany has been essential in cultivating the warmth and care you've come to know at North's. She works diligently to promote and educate the community about funeral home services outside of immediate need, such as grief support, aftercare, and preplanning. We are so grateful for Brittiany's commitment in all the ways she has served our staff, families, and community.

Jennifer Loza
Funeral Director & Prearrangement Counselor
Jennifer Loza, a resident of Abilene, Texas, completed her high school education in 2009. In 2012, she married Raymond Loza Jr., and together they have built a loving family with their four children: Adrian, Raymond III, Abriella, and Raelynn.
Jennifer began her career in funeral service in October 2017, demonstrating a strong commitment to serving families during difficult times. She became licensed by the State of Texas as a Pre-Need Agent in March 2020. Continuing her professional growth, Jennifer graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in May 2021 and went on to earn her Funeral Director license in December 2021.
Outside of her career, Jennifer is a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She enjoys spending quality time with her family through camping trips, backyard barbecues, and participating in co-ed softball. Jennifer is also an active member of Connect Church in Abilene, Texas.
